DIRECTIONS
Label four small tupperwares Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Hold the deck of cards in your hand and chant with your student. "One, Two, Three...Flip. As you say flip, turn the top card over laying it with the photo faced up. The student must analyze the photo and name the season, and explain how he knew. For example "Summer because they are at the beach." The student turns the card over and if he's correct, he tosses the card into the appropriate box. At the end of the game eat a seasonal snack for fun, such as ice-cream for summer, candy apples for autumn or hot choclate for winter.
PREPARATIONUse the seasons pack which comes with 40 photo cards and simple descriptions on the back. Use index cards to label four small tupperwares with Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall
WHAT YOU NEED: 1. Seasons Pack 2. Four labeled tupperwares
EXAMPLE OF A GAME
The teacher holds the deck of card and they chant together "One, Two, Three...Flip. The teacher flips the card face up on the table to reveal someone raking leaves.
Student: "It's Fall!"
Teacher: "Correct! Why?"
Student: "Because she is raking leaves."
The student is correct so she tosses the card in the "Fall" Box. They both chant together "One, Two, Three... Flip." And the process starts again. If the student gets the card incorrect, it goes to the bottom of the pile. Don't forget your seasonal snack at the end of the game.
