CREATIVE TEACHING WITH ABSTRACT CATEGORIES
Goal: Teach students to categorize abstract concepts
Learn a teaching stratagy that gets your child/student to do this in real life

DIRECTIONS
Spread 12 cards on the table with the photo face upwards.  Keep the pack insert close by so that you can see all the available categories.  Call out each category and flip the egg timer.  Your student must find three cards in that category before the timer runs out.  He keeps all the cards he finds.  Replace the missing cards and repeat.  At the end of the game your student cashes in his cards for a reward.

PREPARATION
Use the abstract category pack which comes with 84 photo cards, and over 28 different categories.  Each card has the category listed at the back for fast teaching.  Use a timer where your student will achieve success.  An egg timer will work, as will any other timer.  You decide how much time your student needs.  Determine rewards at the start of the game.  For example, 5 cards equals this reward but 10 cards equals that reward.

WHAT YOU NEED:
1.  Abstract Categories Pack
2.  A timer
