DIRECTIONS
Play "I spy with my little eye." Using this fun game your child/student will learn to respond appropriately in dozens of situations. Open the ring and lay cards face up on the table. Teach card descriptions by saying "I spy with my little eye someone that is.... (describe a card such as playing checkers.) Teach appropriate responses by saying "I spy with my little someone that might say... (name appropriate responses according the cards laid out such as "This gift is for you.") Each time your student is correct he/she gets a token. At the end of the game tokens can be cashed in for rewards.
PREPARATION
Use the Learn to Respond Appropriately Ring Set. Open the ring and lay the cards with the photo side up. In the more advanced stages, let your student take turns being the one to say "I spy with my little eye..." Use small tokens for correct answers. (Don't forget to determine awards ahead with your student ahead of the game.)

The teacher opens the ring and lays about 8 cards on the table

Teacher: I spy with my little eye someone who might say I need help
Student: Touches the correct card and gets a token
Teacher: I spy with my little eye someone who might say "Happy Birthday"
Student: Touches the correct card and gets a token
At the end of the game the student cashes in all his/her tokens for a reward.
