CREATIVE TEACHING WITH WHAT'S IN MY HOUSE?
Goal: Teach students the function of objects in our homes
Learn a teaching strategy that gets your child/student to do this in real life

DIRECTIONS
This game is so much fun. We like to think of it as "Find the Treasure." It's perfect for early learners who like to move around a lot. The teacher shows the student the top card and asks what it is and where we find it. The student replies and the teacher asks the student to show her. They run to the place where the child points to the object. If the student can tell the teacher what the object is for, he/she gets to peek under it and take the prize that's there. Repeat with the other cards.

PREPARATION
Use the What's in my House? Pack of cards which comes with 40 photo cards. At the back of each card are the functions of that item. Pick the cards you want to work on for that lesson. Then make sure you put a prize underneath it or on top of it etc. Some people like to use small edibles such as m&m's or cheerios in which they put one or two in a small ziplock.
